We asked Marylin Cane to introduce herself to you
“I’m Marylin Cane, and my greatest passion is erotica and erotic literature. Since I’ve been with my new partner, I can finally indulge this passion. He’s also encouraged me to write down my erotic experiences and fantasies in books, which I enjoy immensely. At first, I was a little uncomfortable writing about my fantasies, since they are very personal. But my partner quickly put me at ease. And so it soon became a shared project.
My passion
An important part of my eroticism is my passion for erotic clothing. Especially high boots, particularly over-the-knee boots with high heels, which I also love to wear in everyday life. My Arollo boots are my absolute favorites. I have about 40 pairs of over-the-knee boots in my closet, so I can easily compare which boots are of particularly high quality, and Arollo boots definitely stand out for me. I love wearing my Princess or Anna3 boots for any occasion, and their perfect fit allows me to dance all night without my feet getting tired.” Pain? That’s not possible with many boots with such amazing high heels. And my partner loves it when I dress up so sexily, and he’s always giving me new, exciting outfits and boots. And not just him…
The writing process
When I’m writing, I get myself in the mood just by choosing my outfit, and my Anna3 boots or the Princess boots from Arollo are always part of that. I completely immerse myself in the world I’m creating. Of course, I have an idea beforehand of what it will be about, but when I’m writing and sinking into this world, things suddenly happen that I never would have expected, and with incredible intensity. I look left and right and practically experience the situation physically.
My books are a mixture of real-life experiences and my wild imagination. Maybe you’ll figure out what’s real and what’s fantasy, and perhaps it will remain so forever. Because, let’s be honest, not every fantasy can actually be realized, or it turns out quite differently in real life. So, I’m happy for some fantasies to remain forever. Remain a fantasy.
Thematically, they deal with changes in life, the acting out of fantasies, overcoming morality and double standards—in short, it’s about liberation, about shedding the shackles and inhibitions that prevent people from being happy. For me, it’s not just about the change itself, but specifically about the motivation behind people’s actions and what drives them to change things, or not… And these changes are reflected not only in the protagonists’ behavior, but also in the changes in their outfits, and quite a few end up sporting hot leather over-the-knee boots, like the ones I love so much from Arollo.”
